Sample Reverse-Engineered Outputs

What a complete image-to-prompt extraction looks like

Instead of a generic one-line caption, the generator separates camera mechanics, lighting physics, and model-specific syntax.

Commercial Product01

Matte Ceramic Pour-Over Coffee Set

Input

Uploaded studio photo of a charcoal ceramic dripper on travertine stone + note: "Keep morning window shadow"

Output

[Midjourney]: Charcoal matte stoneware pour-over coffee dripper resting on raw porous beige travertine slab, diagonal morning sunlight casting soft Venetian blind shadows, 85mm macro lens, f/4, tactile ceramic glaze micro-texture, warm neutral editorial palette --ar 4:5 --stylize 250 | [Flux / GPT-Image-2]: A studio still-life photograph shot at a 30-degree angle showing a ribbed charcoal-grey ceramic coffee dripper atop a cream travertine stone block...

Cinematic Portrait02

Rainy Cyberpunk Neon Street

Input

Uploaded night street photo + note: "Adapt for 16:9 widescreen movie still"

Output

[Midjourney]: Medium close-up cinematic film still of a traveler in a translucent trench coat standing in a rain-slicked Shinjuku alley, anamorphic 40mm lens, horizontal blue lens flare, dual-tone cyan and magenta neon signage reflecting on wet asphalt, Kodak Vision3 500T grain --ar 16:9 --style raw --stylize 200

3D Isometric Art03

Tactile Clay Diorama Workspace

Input

Uploaded 3D Blender icon render + note: "Swap color scheme to sage green and walnut wood"

Output

[Flux / GPT-Image-2]: An orthographic 3D isometric cutaway diorama of a cozy designer study rendered in soft matte polymer clay and dark walnut wood. Sage-green walls frame a floating desk with a glowing warm brass lamp, miniature bookshelf, and potted monstera. Soft global illumination and ambient occlusion shadows against a clean cream backdrop.

3-Step Reverse Engineering Workflow

How to turn any reference image into a reusable AI prompt

  1. 01

Upload your reference photo or illustration

Select any JPG, PNG, or WebP file up to 4 MB. High-contrast images with a clear subject and distinct lighting produce the sharpest descriptor tokens.

  2. 02

Add an optional modification or target aspect ratio

Leave the text box blank for a pure reverse-engineered prompt, or type a modifier like 'Keep this exact lighting and camera angle, but change the subject to a glass perfume bottle.'

  3. 03

Copy the syntax matched to your image generator

    Paste Section 1 into Midjourney Discord/Web, Section 2 into Flux.1 or GPT-Image-2, or Section 3 into ComfyUI / Automatic1111.

5 Visual Layers

Five visual signals our vision model extracts from every image

Generic image captioners only name the object ('a cup on a table'). To recreate the aesthetic, you need the optical and material vocabulary behind the shot.

  • Subject & spatial hierarchy

Identifies foreground focal points, midground props, and background depth so T5/LLM-based image models place objects in the right regions.

  • Lighting direction & color temperature

Distinguishes soft diffused octabox lighting, golden-hour rim light, chiaroscuro studio shadows, volumetric fog, and neon bounce.

  • Camera angle, lens & depth of field

Estimates focal length (24mm wide, 50mm standard, 85mm portrait macro), viewpoint (low-angle hero, flatlay overhead, isometric), and bokeh falloff.

  • Material texture & color grading

Captures brushed aluminum, unglazed stoneware, subsurface scattering, film stock emulation, and dominant/accent color pairs.

Capabilities & Honest Limits

What image-to-prompt extraction does well—and where you still need reference locks

Works great for

  • Replicating studio lighting, color grading, and lens mood across a new product line
  • Learning the exact photography and art-direction terms behind images you admire
  • Converting a Midjourney render into a Flux or GPT-Image-2 prompt (and vice versa)

Known limitations

  • Text prompts alone will not clone an exact human face—pair the prompt with FaceID or character reference (--cref)
  • Pixel-exact geometry or brand logos require image-to-image / ControlNet Canny or Depth maps

FAQ

FAQ

01How does the AI image to prompt generator work?

When you upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image, our multimodal vision model inspects five layers of visual evidence: primary subject, camera framing and focal length, lighting direction and color temperature, surface materials, and artistic medium. It then formats those observations into four distinct prompt syntaxes—Midjourney parameters, Flux/GPT-Image natural prose, Stable Diffusion booru/CLIP tags, and a structured breakdown.

02Why do Midjourney, Flux, and Stable Diffusion need different prompt formats?

Older CLIP-based models like SDXL respond best to weighted comma-separated tokens, whereas T5 and multimodal transformer architectures (such as Flux.1, GPT-Image-2, and Ideogram) understand full grammatical sentences with spatial prepositions ('on the left', 'behind the glass', 'printed in serif type'). Midjourney sits in between and relies on trailing flags like --ar, --stylize, and --style raw. Generating all four formats in one pass saves you from rewriting prompts when switching tools.

03Is the image to prompt generator free to use?

Yes. Every visitor gets 3 free multimodal runs per day with no account or credit card required. You can also click any of the built-in scene examples to see a live multi-model prompt breakdown immediately.

04Do you store or train on my uploaded reference photos?

No. Your image is converted to a temporary base64 data stream in your browser, sent over HTTPS to extract the text prompt, and discarded immediately after the response is returned. We never publish user uploads to a public feed.

05Can I keep the lighting and camera angle of a reference photo but change the subject?

Yes. Upload your reference image and write a short instruction in the text box—for example, 'Keep the exact lighting, color palette, and 35mm film grain, but replace the car with a vintage espresso machine.' The generator will lock the style tokens while swapping the subject.

06Will pasting an extracted prompt recreate the exact same pixel-for-pixel photo?

No. Text prompts capture semantic composition, lighting, palette, and medium, but diffusion models sample from random noise seeds. To preserve exact facial identity or product geometry alongside the extracted prompt, combine the prompt with your generator's image reference or ControlNet feature.
